There are many easy ways to get to Lisbon. The airport is only minutes away from the city centre; there are train stations that are connected internationally and several ports for cruise ships to dock, offering plenty of options to arrive to the Portuguese capital.
If you prefer travelling by car, there are several excellent points of access across the border with Spain, running from the north to the south of the country.
Citizens from the European Union, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Romania and Switzerland do not require a visa and can enter the country by showing their valid National Identity Document or Passport.
Citizens from other nationalities must apply for a visa at the Portuguese consulate or embassy in their country of origin. Passengers arriving from or travelling to another Schengen country, which is considered a domestic flight, do not require a new visa.
